Using the Dark Woodgrain Ring dodge animation (DS1) for light and medium roll. Elden Ring Mod, you may modify your gameplay to suit your preferences. To learn how to install and utilize it, go to the complete instructions below.

Mod Description

Replaces the light and/or medium roll animation with the Dark Woodgrain Ring dodge animation from DS1. Compatible with Elden Ring version 1.09 and includes separate version compatible with ERR v0.6.2A.

Woodgrain dodge has a shorter animation in comparison to light roll, but also covers less distance.  I have not made any alterations to the framedata.

Should be easily compatible with all mods that do not alter c0000.anibnd.dcx.  If the mod alters the chr folder but not c0000.anibnd.dcx, ensure that my mod is loaded first.  In mods that alter it, the c0000.anibnd.dcx file will be located at the file path: mod/chr/c0000.anibnd.dcx

My mod for example: dwgr_dodge_mod/chr/c0000.anibnd.dcx

For those who choose to use Yabber and merge the .tae files with mods that also modify c0000.anibnd.dcx, such as weapon moveset mods; my mod only modifies a00.tae – everything else you can safely disregard.

The following installation instructions assume that you have modengine2 installed.

Installation:
Retrieve the mod folder from the .zip you downloaded and place it in your modengine2 directory.  Rename the mod folder to “mod” if you have no other mods installed and have not made any modifications to the file path located in config_eldenring.toml.

– If there is already a folder called “mod” but it contains nothing: you can delete it.
– It is not required to rename my mod to “mod”, you can even keep it as-is, provided you include the proper file path in config_eldenring.toml.
– If you already have a mod installed: follow the instructions included in config_eldenring.toml for loading multiple mods, and ensure that my mod is loaded first.

Currently some weapons may clip into the ground during the dodge animation due to how the player character holds them.  It appears that only weapons rested on the shoulder by the player character (such as greatswords) have this issue.  I plan to fix this in a future update.
